gfrCup provides all the
functionality that you'll need to serve as
Commissioner of a Fantasy NASCAR League. The 2011 season marks the thirteenth year that
we've offered our software. In other words, our software is the best because we've
been doing it the longest. Here's why:
- NEW FOR 2012!
Team Limit Doubled
-- If your teams will carry five or less drivers, your league can consist of up to 400 teams.
And, if your teams will cary six to ten drivers, your league can consist of up to 200 teams.
So, recruit more teams!
-
Import the Teams from Last Season's gfrCup League
-- In the Franchise Info screen, you can now import all of the team information from your previous
season's league (team names, owner info, password, etc). Simply select 'Import Teams' and then
point to your gfrCup folder from last season ('C:\Program Files\gfrCup 2008 Edition\' if you accepted
the defaults during installation). That should save you some typing!
-
Use Custom HTML Headers and Footers for Reports
-- When you create HTML reports, you can use your own custom HTML at the top and bottom of the
report in order to match reports to your other web pages.
-
Web-Based Lineup Entry
-- gfrCup will create web pages
before each race based on your leagues rules. Once you post the pages to your
website, the team owners in your league will be able to log in with a password and
submit their lineup via a webpage form. Lineups
can be imported directly from the gfrCup server, eliminating the need to detach the lineup
files from emails. To learn more, please visit our
Web-Based Lineup Entry Tour page.
-
Create Multiple Reports with the Report Wizard
-- Set which reports you want to create at different times (e.g. before the lineup deadline,
before qualifying, after qualifying, after the unofficial results have been posted, etc).
Then, simply press a button and gfrCup will create all of the reports for you in one step.
You can even create full season and/or season segment reports.
-
Support for "Banked" Dollars -- Some leagues allow teams to carry payroll dollars
that aren't used over to the next race. Then, a team will have additional dollars to
spend on their lineup the following week. gfrCup supports "banking" of
payroll dollars.
-
Customize the Look of HTML Reports -- Commissioners can specify the font face and
color on gfrCup's many HTML reports, as well as the page background color and row colors.
This allows you to create reports that match the look and feel of your existing website.
-
Manage a league consisting of up to 200 teams (yeah that's right, 200 teams!).
-
Driver "Chase" Points
-- Once the "Chase" races commence, you can download a results file that will apply the "chase" point
adjustments for the top 10 drivers in the standings.
- Create Driver Groups --
Once you specify how many groups will be used and how
many drivers will be available in each group, gfrCup will display reports so
that your team owners can select a driver from each group. In addition, each time
you import official results for each race gfrCup creates new groups for the
next race based on your preferences.
-
Downloadable Results -- Download results directly into gfrCup
and let us worry about all the data entry. Other programs require you to enter the
stats yourself. In that case you may as well use a spreadsheet to run your
league!
- Customize the Points System --
Create your own custom points system, including the ability to specify points for
every finishing and qualifying position individually.
Then, set your reports to sort team points in either ascending or descending order.
-
Completely re-designed interface makes it much easier to move teams between
divisions, add teams and delete teams from your league.
-
Support for multi-commissioners -- You can transfer your league data file between
different computers much more easily.
-
Support for seven-figure driver salaries (e.g. $1,500,000).
-
Support for points penalties. When you download results, gfrCup will
notify you of any driver penalties and ask you whether or not to make the points
adjustment.
- Run up to 5 separate leagues or
divisions.
- Base leagues on drivers or
cars.
- Allow/disallow more than one team to select
the same driver.
- Teams can consist of up to 10 drivers.
- Set the number of starters per team.
- Utilize the optional salary cap.
- Set up the optional injured reserve.
- Track all team
transactions.
- Plus lots more...
Rosters
Screen -- gfrCup lets you manage team rosters with point-and-click
ease. The Rosters Screen offers:
- Draft Day --
Simply select the team from the Team list, select a driver from the Drivers list and press
a button. gfrCup
will alert you if the action exceeds your salary cap or
driver limits.
- Lineups -- Move
drivers to and from the Starters list and the Injured Reserve list with the press of a
button.
- Free Agents -- A
list displays all of available drivers. Click on a team and press a button to
perform the transaction. Of course, gfrCup checks salary cap and driver
limits for you.
- Trades -- gfrCup
lets you quickly and easily trade drivers between teams.
- League Roster
-- From this tab you can
download updates to your league roster from the Green Flag Racing website. You can
also easily add, delete or modify driver information.
-
Edit Banked Dollars
-- In the Rosters screen, you can edit how many dollars a team has "banked" for a particular race.
-
Minimum Salary
-- Set a minimum salary for drivers that will be enforced whenever results are downloaded and when new
drivers are added to your league.
Results Screen
-- League results are based on the performance of actual NASCAR drivers in Nextel Cup
Series events. gfrCup offers two options for processing race results:
- Results
Files -- Each week downloadable Results Files are available from the gfrCup
website. Qualifying Results Files
are available no later than the evening prior to each race. Unofficial
Results Files are available shortly after the completion of each race.
Official Results Files are posted within 12 hours of when NASCAR posts the
official points for the race. Press a button in the Results screen to download the
results and your league is automatically updated.
- Manual Entry -- Click on a driver, enter
qualifying and finishing positions, check the appropriate boxes for laps led and gfrCup
automatically calculates the points.
-
Alerts During Results Downloads
-- If NASCAR assesses a penalty or change after the official results have been posted, you'll
get an alert message the next time you import results notifying you that a revised results file has
been posted.
Reports Screen
-- gfrCup provides you with all the reports you'll need to ensure that your
franchise owners have the stats they demand to manage their race teams. Many of the
reports offer the option of displaying combined stats for all of your leagues.
Here's just a few:
-
League Season Summary -- League standings and the scoring detail of
each team for the most recent race.
-
Draft Report
-- Shows all drivers and their salaries.
-
Rosters
-- Each team's current roster, including driver's current race points and
salary.
-
Rankings
-- Displays all drivers sorted by current total points. It shows all the
important stats like starts, wins, top 5 and top 10 finishes, laps led info,
salary and free agent status.
- Team Scoring Detail
-- Breakdown of each team's scoring for the season, including
average start and average finish.
- Team Information
-- Team names, owners, phone numbers and e-mail addresses. A handy report to
distribute to league participants at the beginning of the season.
-
Starting Lineups
-- Shows each team's starters for the upcoming race.
-
Race Results
-- Finishing results including position, points earned, laps led info,
salary and free agent status.
- Transaction Log
-- Distribute this report once a week so that franchise owners keep
up with all the roster moves.
- Transaction Balances
-- Keeps track of all transaction charges and displays current team
balances
-
Set Folders for Reports and Lineup Entry Pages
-- In the Reports screen, you can set the folder on your computer where you want reports to be
saved and the folder where the lineup entry pages should be saved. gfrCup will remember the folders,
making it easy for you when you upload the files to your webserver.
-
Race Schedule Report
-- In addition to all of the race events, the Race Schedule report displays the team that scored
the most points for each race. The team name and score are displayed at the far right of the report.
-
Tracking of Lineup Changes
-- If your league charges teams for lineup changes from race to race -- or if you simply need to keep
track of how many changes each team makes throughout the course of the season -- you'll be glad to
see that gfrCup tracks how many drivers are changed from the previous race when a team's lineup
is imported. If you apply a transaction charge for changes, a charge for each driver change will
appear in the Transaction Log and in the Team Balances report.
More Stuff --
In addition to all of the features listed above, gfrCup offers a bunch of other
good stuff, including:
- Transaction Log Screen
-- Use this screen to view all of the roster moves in
your league. In addition, you can easily change transaction charges or delete
transactions when needed. You can also add transaction adjustments with
comments when you need to adjust team balances.
- Report Distribution Options
-- All reports can be viewed on screen, printed or saved to
file in HTML or TXT format for distribution to your league via e-mail.
-
Comprehensive Team Information Screen
-- Tons of info, such as a team's address, can be stored. In addition, you can elect to keep
teams' addresses, phone numbers and email addresses from displaying in the Franchise Information
report.
-
Team Awards/Winnings
-- There is a box in the Franchise Info screen where you can enter each teams awards/winnings.
A corresponding column also appears in the 'Team Balances' report and the amount entered is included
in the calculation for each team's current balance.
